Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Manager to lead and manage our operations within a designated region. This role requires someone with a strategic mindset and hands-on leadership ability to drive growth, ensure compliance, and maintain high standards of client care.

 

Key Responsibilities

Tendering & Client Acquisition

  • – Lead the process of tendering for local authority contracts, ensuring proposals meet council requirements and service standards.
  • – Actively secure and manage private client accounts, including relationship-building and follow-through on new leads.
  • – Build partnerships with healthcare professionals, families, and community stakeholders to drive client acquisition.

Operational Leadership

  • – Oversee the day-to-day operations of staff and services within your area, ensuring smooth delivery of care to all clients.
  • – Conduct regular audits and spot checks to ensure compliance with CQC standards and internal company policies.
  • – Manage client onboarding, risk assessments, and care plan reviews in collaboration with the care coordination team.

Staff Management

  • – Recruit, train, and support care staff in your region, ensuring they are well-equipped and motivated to deliver exceptional care.
  • – Schedule and allocate shifts efficiently while maintaining care continuity and staff satisfaction.
  • – Handle performance management, appraisals, and support professional development of the team.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • – Proven experience in a senior care role, ideally with involvement in client acquisition, council tenders, or private care services.
  • – Strong understanding of CQC standards and best practices in care delivery.
  • – Experience managing teams and client portfolios across multiple locations.
  • – Background in dementia care is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • – Relevant care or nursing qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above) are desirable but not essential.
